May Empower User’s Group Workshop

Encore Analytics has announced the 2024 Empower Users’ Group (EUG) Workshop and Training! The EUG brings together government and industry leaders leveraging Empower for program analytics, audit support, VAR collection, Corrective Action Tracking, and more.

The event is scheduled for May 20-23, 2024 at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Sandestin, Florida.

Attendees can choose from various pre-EUG training courses, including Utilizing Empower’s Advanced Features and Admin/User training. New this year is an OTB/OTS Implementation course and a Scalable EVM course by Humphreys & Associates. Additionally, the DOE & ASU will host their inaugural IP2M METRR Facilitator Certification course.Registration is OPEN for the EMPOWER USERS’ GROUP WORKSHOP & TRAINING

NDIA 2024 Integrated Program Management Division Meeting Scheduled

The NDIA 2024 Integrated Program Management Division Meeting Program Management Tools and Services Forum has been scheduled and registration is open.

This will be IPMD’s first ever “Program Management Tools and Services Forum”. In addition to the traditional topics, you’ll get a chance to meet with the industry’s top tools and service vendors. Special speakers have been invited to share AI advancement in the program management discipline.

Keynote speaker will be Maj Gen David Abba, USAF, Director of Special Programs, Department of Defense Special Access Program Central Office

Maj Gen David W. Abba is the Director of Special Programs and the Director of the Department of Defense Special Access Program Central Office (DoD SAPCO), the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. He serves under the authority, direction, and control of the Deputy Secretary of Defense for all programs protected under special access controls in order to acquire and deploy operational and intelligence capabilities to warfighters worldwide. Additionally, Brig Gen Abba chairs the Low Observable/Counter Low Observable Tri-Service Committee.

Harold “Hal” Hickman is the Acting Deputy Director for the Integrated Program Management (IPM), a division of the Acquisition Data and Analytics (ADA) office that serves as the Department of Defense (DoD) focal point for all policy, guidance, and competency relating to Earned Value Management (EVM)/IPM. He is serving in this role as a rotation from the Department of the Navy (DON) where he is the Director of the Naval Center for EVM (CEVM). He has served as the Director of the Naval CEVM for four (4) years and has been with the office for seven (7) years.

IPM Day 2023

IIL’s International Project Management Day is coming Thursday, November 2, 2023.

The event offers a lineup of speakers sharing insights on artificial intelligence, project management practices, team engagement, risk management, the agile project manager, business relationship management and introducing a digital value system just to name a few.

NDIA International Division Quarterly Meeting

The NDIA International Division will take place in-person at NDIA HQ or virtually on Thursday, April 20, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. The quarterly meetin will feature Mike Miller, Deputy Director of Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), as our keynote speaker. He will virtually provide an update from DSCA, but we encourage in person attendance so you can network with other division members.
