Samos Advisors is an experienced provider of training disciplines in the federal government, industry, and public sector. Our staff has broad experience in the evaluation of training requirements, curriculum design, and development of client-centric training material.

Among our success stories is an EVMS mentoring program. As part of a long-term consulting engagement, Samos Advisors established and delivered “chair-to-chair” mentoring for project managers, program controllers, and corporate leaders with the need for specialized support. Examples of our mentoring efforts included how to read/use EVMS reports, learn how to analyze cost & schedule health metrics, how to develop estimates at complete, writing/reviewing Variance Analysis Reports (VARs), and related topics to ensure the individual satisfies all job-related requirements.

Samos Advisors has a long-established partnership with project management associations and institutions such as the College of Performance Management (CPM) and NDIA Program Management Conferences. We have provided EVMS and project management instructional offerings to the NRO, NGA, DOE, HHS/CMS, civilian agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and industry partners. We have held the positions of lead EVMS instructors at NRO and NGA.

Our instructors are the same individuals working day-to-day on client projects. They bring up-to-the-minute, real-world experience into in-person and remote learning scenarios.

Samos Advisors provides training programs to complement our service offerings. We provide training for all learning levels, from novice to expert users. Our training programs are design to meet the needs of anyone in your organization tasked with supporting projects requiring a compliant EVM system.

Our training programs are designed to meet your company’s or individual goals. We can shorten or lengthen training time depending on the client’s subject maturity and attendees’ subject knowledge. We use case studies, classroom exercises and quizzes to ensure training material recall and comprehension is prevalent.

For clients requiring CAM certification training, we provide a comprehensive test at the end of the training course and a certificate of completion for those students that achieve a passing grade as determined by the client.

On-Site Corporate Training

Our training programs conducted at your location(s) provide a valuable and effective method of learning. We believe on-site training works best. The face-to-face training experience allows continuous instructor and student interaction on discussion topics or problem-solving exercises. This type of training ensures verbal and non-verbal questions can be identified and addressed in an expeditious manner.

Samos Advisors will tailor training to meet your needs and support your existing company management methods, processes, and systems/tools for winning and managing existing or new projects and EVMS. Prior to training commencement, we will take time to understand your company culture and implementation practices to ensure a successful training engagement.

Remote Corporate Training

When on-site training is not possible, Samos Advisors can deliver customized remote training to equip project teams with the knowledge needed for successful EVMS implementation. Our training program offers project and contract management, executive EVMS training, project controls and specialized CAM training.

We can customize our basci and advanced courses and training material to meet your objectives and desired outcomes. Training duration is flexible based on training goals. We can offer a 2-to-4-hour workshop or 1-to-2-day class training.  To ensure maximum training success we will meet with your company training coordinator to outline training goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes.
